Deborah Fleming Comes back to read

Tonight Ashland Poetry Press had the pleasure of welcoming a former Press Director back home to read for the second time this year. First it was Steve Haven in November. Now we get to see Pen America Award winning author, Deborah Fleming, who edited for us for two decades and Directed the Press from 2016-2022.

Deborah read from her new collection of essays, Ghosts of an Old Forest (Kent State University Press).

Deborah is a 2020 winner of the Pen America Art of the Essay Award, and has been author and editor for a dozen books. She was also a wonderful mentor for the current Poetry Press leadership.

We’ve been lucky this year to reconnect with our history.
