Praise for The Beloved
“David Schloss is one of the finest young poets of his generation. He has an amazing ability to weave familiar-sounding phrases, images, and rhythms together in poems whose novelty startles but which also seems to be a point one should have grasped long ago. Reading him is like recovering a memory one had given up for lost.”
— John Ashbery
